The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg has commissioned Grid Design Firm for the design and development of its new museum website. The new website will feature a completely updated design and interactive calendar.
The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg has been a cultural fixture on the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront since opening to the public in 1965. The museum houses a comprehensive collection of art, with articles dating from antiquity to the modern age. The collection includes 18th and 19th century American art, 17th - 19th century European art, Greek and Roman antiquities, Pre-Columbian and Asian art as well as photography. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum hosts special exhibits throughout the year.
The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg opened its new Hazel Hough Wing, which is part of an even larger expansion plan, in February 2008. The new 33,000 sf Hazel Hough Wing more than doubled the museum’s footprint and features galleries and the MFA Cafe. Grid Design Firm was commissioned to update the visual aesthetics and functionality of the museum’s website in conjunction with these exciting developments.
